NEW DELHI,August 10,  For the first time, World Human Day was celebrated on August 10 in tribute to eminent Indian scientist and social reformer, Late Prof. Dr. Prabhakar Rao Chawre, remembered for his revolutionary scientific perspective on human evolution.

Dr. Chawre challenged Darwin’s theory by introducing the Auto Genetic Theory of Evolution—also called the Self-Origin Theory (E-7)—in his 2012 book Science for Genetic Engineering. He argued that humans did not evolve from apes, but originated spontaneously under favourable environmental and nutritional conditions. He urged society to embrace scientific thinking and reject superstition. His research was recognised in the November 2017 special edition of the Indian Journal of Scientific Research.

Beyond science, Dr. Chawre devoted over four decades to empowering underprivileged youth through his NGO, the Technical Professional Education in India Foundation, now led by his son Balwant Chawre.

On his birth anniversary, local residents, family members, and followers held a prayer meeting in Delhi. International forums have honoured him as the Father of Human, and calls are growing for a posthumous Nobel Prize recognising his unparalleled contributions to science and society.
